Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. About this policy

Our courses are date-specific, live-fire training events with strictly limited places. Reserving a place takes that place out of circulation, so the terms below balance fairness to you with the cost of holding a place we may be unable to re-sell at short notice. This policy applies to all course bookings made through this website.

2. Your statutory cancellation rights

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day “cooling-off” right does not apply to contracts for leisure activities provided on a specific date or dates. Our training courses fall into this category. The goodwill terms below are offered in addition to, and do not limit, any statutory rights you may have.

3. If you cancel

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the refund depends on how much notice you give before the course start date:

  • 14 days or more before the course

    Full refund, less a £20 administration fee (covering payment-processing costs and admin) — or a free transfer to another available date at no charge.

  • 7 to 14 days before the course

    50% refund — or a free transfer to another available date.

  • Fewer than 7 days before the course, or non-attendance

    No refund. At our discretion we may offer a one-time transfer to a later date.

All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected]. The notice period is calculated from the date we receive your email.

4. Transfers

Where a transfer is offered, it is subject to availability on the new date and must be used within 12 months of the original course date. A place may be transferred to another eligible person by prior written agreement.

5. If we cancel or reschedule

Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule a course — for example due to instructor availability, range conditions, weather, or insufficient bookings. If we do, you may choose either a full refund or a free transfer to an alternative date. We are not liable for any incidental costs you may have incurred (such as travel or accommodation), so we recommend booking those flexibly.

6. Eligibility and suitability

Attendance is conditional on meeting our eligibility requirements and on completing any pre-course documentation truthfully. If you are unable to attend because you do not meet these requirements, the cancellation terms in section 3 apply. We reserve the right to refuse or stop participation on safety grounds; where we do so for reasons within your control, no refund is due.

7. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via our payment provider, Stripe. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Where a full refund applies, the £20 administration fee referred to above is retained; this covers the non-refundable payment-processing cost and our admin time.
